FEBRUARY 9TH 2013...."May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live"

Ladies and Gentlemen....Swaye Style Studio is now open for business!

We had a couple of moments in the week leading up to February 9th when we didn't think we'd be able to have our Grand Opening for Swaye.  The weather channels were predicting heavy snow in the northeast area, and encouraged everyone to stay off the roads.  Since I would be coming from Virginia to go to Pennsylvania, I was afraid to get stuck somewhere on the road in the middle of the night.  I was supposed to leave for PA on Friday, but Remi and I thought it'd be best to wait till Saturday morning to see what things were looking like, before getting on the road.  When we woke up the morning of Saturday, I looked out and we hadn't gotten any snow in VA.  I called Remi and she said there was a little bit of snow in PA, but that it wasn't anything too crazy.  So we decided to keep the opening as scheduled, and of course, that turned out to be the best move.

When we got there, the store looked great!! Remi had done a lot of work since I was last in PA with her to pick out window treatments and to help paint the store.  Everything was in place and it looked great!!  The store actually looked legit!!  So after some last minute touches, we opened the store to the public.  What a great day, what a great accomplishment!  Everyone loved the clothes, the store, and more importantly bought some stuff...haha.

It's unreal to think we are actually store owners now, but I guess anything is possible.  When Remi and I talked about doing this a couple of years ago, it seemed so farfetched.  Our husbands, who are ever so supportive, looked at us like we were crazy, which doesn't mean much since that's how they look at us on any given day.  But they supported us and worked in partnership with us to make this happen.  Husbands can be great sometime :)  So I guess the long and short of this is "the journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step."  If you want to do something, just do it.  I saw a great quote the other day that read:  "May you live as long as you want, but never want as long as you live".  We are very excited about this new chapter and feel proud to have done it.

Here are a few pics of the store, with me (Bola) putting on some of clothes for our customers.  Enjoy!!
